Enugu Indigenes in Diaspora Donate Medical Equipment to Teaching Hospital

The Enugu State indigenes in America, under the aegis of Enugu State Medical Mission have donated medical equipment worth over N8 million to the state University of Science and Technology Teaching Hospital, Parklane, Enugu.

The equipment, which included surgical equipment, stretchers, and medical accessories were attracted by the medical mission from the Medical Bridges and the SOS donor agencies based in the United States of America.

Leader of the group and the Special Adviser to Governor Sullivan Chime on Diaspora Matters and Special Projects, Dr. Jude Akubuilo, who handed over the medical equipment to the chief medical director of the teaching hospital said that the donation was the third in the series by the group, adding that they had earlier on two occasions donated medical equipment worth N11 million to the hospital

He said that his group was poised to equip the Amenity Unit of the hospital until it attains an international standard, adding that the souring of the equipments was facilitated by a member of the group, Dr Kanayo Ubesie.
